KRONE VINDUER launches extreme low-energyrated window


House owners will now find it easier to conserve heat with KRONE WINDOWS's launch of the extremely energy-saving product Coto. The window has a documented U-value of 0.7 for the entire window, which means that only one fourth of all heat, unlike traditional windows, are released. The window can be ordered in all possible designs, and then satisfie any houseowners' individual requirements.

- COto are windows on time and to the future. It is designed for both renovations of older homes, new construction projects and for future passive houses, which is close to a 0-consumption, says director Kaj Bundgaard, KRONE VINDUER.

Optimized frame constructions: By using an optimized design of alu/wood KRONE VINDUER has achieved a minimum loss of heat from the traditionally weakest point on alu/wood windows. The newly developed frame construction also means that the window can withstand higher wind loads than traditional alu/wood windows. The new alu/wood system can be delivered in various colours and various woodsorts. It is also possible to perform colour shifts externally through the replacement of aluminum profiles. 

The often very large windowpanes in modern architectural style is very demanding for windows insulation ability to meet the requirements.

Further advantages: narrow window sills offers a very good light, and there are more options in choise of glass. They may function as "sunstopping", with blinds, soundstopping or as safety glass. KRONE VINDUER also developed a new tilting sliding door that allows for large outdoor openings - even without sacrificing any energy savings. The tilt function makes the door suitable for venting when needed.

Acceleration: KRONE WINDOWS has the necessary expertise in static and energy engineering methods, and work is constantly being verified by the development department, which consists of an engineer and a skilled team of craftsmen.

Supported by THERM: The requirements for the thermal performance of windows and doors are rapidly increasing, which is why KRONE VINDUER uses advanced calculation methods in the development of the individual components. The company's engineers can fine-tune all parameters that together provides the best and most energy-efficiant product.

The calculations includes data on the glass, dew points, seals, aluminum and woods. The calculation method is in accordance with EN ISO 10077-2, performed on computer using the program THERM. It can calculate all types of building components and thermal transmit in buildings, glass edges etc.
