Architect Emma Hansson from Vandkunsten Architects says: “When we commit ourselves to a co-operation with a manufacturer our main aim is to find someone who gives us the possibility to work with real and natural materials. With Bispevika we wished to work with Nordic materials. The facades will be made in Oppdal slate which is why it was important for us to have window elements that could supply with a warm expression. Therefore, it made sense to choose massive oak tree, which is a primitive Nordic building material with a beautiful contrast to the slate.
When working with Krone Windows, we had the pleasure of working with a flexible and robust product, which can challenge standard measurements and therefore lets the architecture express itself.
